Booking process is terrible
Positive: Free parking, clean and comfortable. Negative: The booking process was terribly stressful. I was redirected from Booking.com to another website (Hostenga) to make the 50% deposit payment. Note: you have to supply a copy of your passport and payment card details. I received an email advising me that the deposit payment was accepted. Then the 50% balance payment is required not long after that. I made this but received no confirmation back, even though the payment showed on my credit card. Hostenga then started advising me that I had not paid the balance payment so I tried to call Hostenga on the French and British telephone numbers many times but nobody answered. Hostenga then sent emails advising me they would cancel the booking and keep the deposit. So I sent many emails showing the credit card payment transaction for the balance payment - still no reply from Hostenga. So I did not know if I was going to have the place or not. Then I got a request for a 300 Euro Damage Deposit Payment. So I presumed they must be providing the accommodation if they required this. Still no confirmation that they have received the balance payment. I paid the 300 Euros Damage Deposit Payment and received an email confirmation back. Finally the day before arrival, I got a WhatsApp message advising how to find the place and the keys. When we arrived the Wifi did not work and we had 24 hours without Wifi. When it was fixed it was terrible. You are also asked to remove all your bed linen and leave it all together in one place before you leave.
