Super séjour !
Positive: Super emplacement, il ne pourrait pas être mieux placé ! Très propre, grand et moderne, belle vue. De quoi passer un excellent séjour. Negative: Pas de parking (gratuit) à proximité mais c’est le problème avec Annecy. Les paiements se font en plusieurs fois via un autre lien + grosse caution mais nous n’avons eu aucun problème . Difficile de joindre les personnes qui s’occupent du logement.

The apartment is comfortable and perfectly positioned in the heart of old Annecy. We received several incorrect invoices from Hostenga. Our early dealings with them were OK, but later on, they became almost impossible to contact. Emails via Stayz were ignored, direct emails were ignored and the phone numbers giver to us invariably went unanswered. On the two occasions when the phone was answered, it was after more than 20 attempts over several hours. The person we spoke to was quite helpful, but the difficulty in contacting Hostenga was unreasonable and unacceptable. On our arrival day, we had received no access instructions and it took 31 phone calls over 2 hours before the phone was answered. Again, once contact was made, the person we dealt with was fine, but we had several anxious hours, en route to Annecy without any access instructions. In summary, we have no complaint with the staff we actually managed to contact, but Hostenga's business systems (billing and communications) are either grossly overloaded or otherwise appalling.

I did not enjoy having to deal with Hostenga. I found their communication style aggressive i.e. demanding payment, plus a 400 Euro bond. I overpaid them and they said they would refund the money in a few hours, a week later I still have not received any. Then they said they would send address and instructions at midday but I hadn't received any by 1330 so had to chase them. They then sent the check in instructions minus the address. Will never book anything through them again. Although I thought I was booking through Bookabach. The location of the flat is fantastic. It is comfortable. The cleaning needed improvement, the shower floor and bottom of the stall was dirty. Blind on bedroom balcony door was broken, and heater had come off wall in lounge and was leaning on wall. The pots and pans were dirty. So lots of little things need more attention which would improve the overall experience.

The night before we were to arrive, Hostenga Group, the property manager, demanded that we pay a security deposit equal to the cost of our entire stay or they would cancel our reservation even though we had already paid in full for our stay. We left the apartment in good condition but they have still not refunded our deposit and it has been more than 6 weeks. We reached out to them several times as well as complaining to VRBO but have still not received a refund. Do not stay here. They will steal your money.

Un problème avec le chauffe eau qui déborde, on a signalé à l'agence en espérant que ce sera transmis au proprio car risque de moisissure derrière les placards... This flat may have a great view and location, unfortunately it deserves a negative rating for many reasons. Hostenga being the primary reason but also the noise level makes it impossible to sleep before midnight or even later, particularly when it’s hot and windows need to be open. Garbage collection and street cleaners arrive at 6am or earlier with incredible noise. But the worst thing about this rental is the management company. NEVER book a stay managed by Hostenga. Their online payment platform is full of errors and just does not work. Threatening emails are automatically sent with notifications that your booking will be cancelled and all money paid will be lost even after payment is made. Even though my booking clearly stated the 400 euro deposit would be collected upon check-in, I received an email 24 hours prior to check in stating payment must be made online or I would loose the 665 euros I had already paid. After 2 hours on a chat and then a Skype call with VRBO, it was handled. VRBO took care of things for me but they should not allow Hostenga to provide services through their site. I’m a US traveler and was in Italy when the email came in and clearly Hostenga does not understand that many international travelers do not have easy access to the internet or making international phone calls. Les codes d’accès n’étaient pas les bons et nous n’avions pas la clef d’accès à l’immeuble nous avons donc passé 45min à crier dehors pour que des voisins finissent par nous entendre et sont gentiment venu nous ouvrir. Les poêles et autre ustensile de cuisine étaient sale mais je pense que cela est du aux précédents locataires. Absence de bouilloire. Fuite dans la douche. Sinon le reste des équipements sont top et l’appartement en soit est cool aussi.

On est assez mitigés sur ce logement. Le gros point positif est l’emplacement (proche de toutes les commodités, à deux pas du lac, la vue est sympa). Par contre, nous n’avons pas eu le bon code pour rentrer. Ensuite nous avons découvert plusieurs petites choses dérangeantes comme le radiateur par terre (arraché du mur, donc deux gros trous dans le mur), le store de la chambre en train de tomber également. La vaisselle était sale nous avons dû tout relaver pour manger. Il y a peu d’équipement en général. C’est le bazar dans tous les placards de la cuisine et pas très propre. Le canapé était sale. Le matelas et la couette sont tachés. Étant au dessus d’un restaurant, de fortes odeurs de cuisine remontent dans l’appartement. Et alors gros gros point négatif : les voisins du dessus qui marchent tard le soir et tôt le matin, si on est sensible au bruit c’est donc impossible de dormir le matin, dommage pdt les vacances! Des petits travaux et un bon coup de ménage ne feraient pas de mal…

Attention à la table extérieure qui n’est pas stable. Manque tout de même un rouleau de papier toilette et une petite savonnette. Bon logement du vieil Annecy :-)

Positive: Love love love location!!! Right on the heart of the old city 💕 Negative: No-one onsite to meet and greet. Access codes weren’t sent. Had to phone to get access which was difficult. Would be easier if payment and holding bond was processed by bookings.com with already registered details rather than multiple part payments direct with the owners in the week prior when out of wifi range. Despite these hiccups it is well worth the hassle to be in this ideally location.

Positive: The location was perfect. The balcony overlooks the historic prison and the canal. Negative: The communication with the host prior to arrival was very stressful. I received a number of messages advising me that I had not paid the balance and that my booking would be cancelled, despite the payment coming from my account and despite receiving a receipt from the host. Impossible to get through to the host on the phone, and had to ask Booking.com to intervene 3 times to ensure we had a place to stay when we arrived. The host did not reply to any of my messages until hours before we were due to arrive - this final message (received the day before our holiday) was the first time they asked for a damage waiver, which we obviously then paid straight away. Only once this was paid, we received a message to say that we would be sent information about how to find the key at midday on the day of our arrival. I had to chase for this information as we did not receive it at midday - we received a message at 1.30pm. Not a relaxing way to start a holiday.

Affreux! La pire expérience d' hébergement depuis des années.
Positive: ATTENTION : Hostenga arnaque les clients ! Nous n'avons RIEN apprécié, tout a été compliqué : très compliqué de récuperer le code et les clés, l'appartement partage l'escalier avec l'endroit de stockage du restaurant en dessous : un bruit constant et des allées et venues permanentes, pas d'hygiène, insécurité, et pas de double vitrage donc très sonore avec les terrrasses en dessous. En plus, hostenga ne voulait pas rendre la caution c'est booking qui a fait pression pendant trois mois! Negative: Il ne faut plus référencer Hostenga chez Booking, cela dessert la bonne opinion que l'on a de booking . Notre banque a refusé le paiement en cb associé à Hostenga nous disant que c'était un site frauduleux, et il a fallu 3 mois de pression pour que la caution nous soit remboursée. En plus : L'appartement ne vaut pas le prix du tout, et c'est scandaleux que le stock du restaurant en dessous soit posé dans l'escalier( donc il faut enjamber la nourriture!) et que les cuisines de ce restaurant soient dans ce même escalier.

First off... The place was SPOTLESS and very spacious. The location is amazing, very close to the lake, the bus station and the surroundings of the old town are nice. The apartment itself has an amazing bathroom, kitchen, and bedroom with a nice little balcony. I read some negative reviews about the stairs, but to me, it wasn't bad at all. They were spacious and nicely lit. Lastly, everything in the apartment seems modern. From appliances to actual spaces. Definitely a GREAT place to stay.

Positive: O apartamento é uma graça. Bem aconchegante, equipado e com localização perfeita, a vista da janela do quarto e da sala são incríveis. Negative: A entrada no prédio é ASSUSTADORA. A rua é bonita, com um restaurante bom ao lado, mas ao passar pela pequena porta de entrada, da vontade de sair correndo. Parece um prédio abandonado. O primeiro andar estava em reforma de um lado e do outro era possivelmente o estoque de um restaurante. Para piorar nossa vivência, chegamos de noite e não tinha luz nem nos corredores, nem na escada na área comum. Ficamos uma noite sem wi fi pois a senha informada estava incorreta, o guest respondeu apenas no dia seguinte. Foi necessário, inclusive, que eu comprasse um pacote de internet para falar com o gerenciador do apartamento. Para ciência de quem aluga, deveria ter escrito no início do anúncio que é necessario realização de depósito caução (informação dada apenas após a reserva, quando não é mais possível cancelar com reembolso). E não se trata de um caução qualquer, a quantia é de 400 euros, valor maior que o pago pela nossa estadia. Estava muito entusiasmada com essa hospedagem e ela realmente me decepcionou.

Le logement est bien situé, proche des commerces et le parking de la mairie est vraiment à 5 min à pieds. Le logement est joliment décoré mais très sale. Des tapons de poussières sont présent, les plaintes sont pleines de poussières, le sol de la douche est vraiment très sale et l’évier de la salle de bain bouché! Le logement est au deuxième étage et les planchers du premier et du deuxième étages font peur voir menace de s’écrouler!! L’hôte est en revanche sympathique.

The best view, the apartment is beautiful and is in the best location. There are 2 winding staircases to climb so not very accessible for people that have access problems. However, for us, it was perfect and will definitely come back. We are hoping to come back next Sept. Would totally recommend for a 2/3 person stay, if you are happy with the stairs :)

Positive: The view was awesome and exactly like in the pictures. If you want to be right sights and restaurants, that is where you are. The apartment is very well equipped and nice. Negative: The personnel did not reply to questions via Booking messages, that was a bit of a problem. And then some points for you: There is a balcony, but note, that it is not that private. There's another balcony right next to this one and you can see there. The shower room could be a bit more tidy. The noises carry from the streets, but they stop around 23. The bedlinen are for 2, meaning, you won't have your own, if you are 2 people.

Positive: amazing location. Overall good quality of amenities. Really nice view from the bedroom. Kitchen correctly equipped. Good internet. Double-glazed windows doing a good job for sound insulation (restaurants are just below the windows) Negative: on our stay the weather was REALLY hot, and the flat was lacking aircon. A large fan was available but not sufficient. Cash deposit was weird (400€). Since it was a professional trip, it would have been much simpler to have a deposit taken on a corporate card rather than having large sums of cash taken out.

Very large, beautiful apartment with an amazing view in the heart of Old Town Annecy
Positive: The location was fantastic. Directly in the center of Old Town Annecy, with an amazing balcony view of the river. The apartment itself was very large, clean, and extremely comfortable. Washing machine and great shower were a bigger plus! Negative: The check in process was not ideal. It seems to be managed by a rental/host company with poor communication. I messaged the company via the Booking.com app and even emailed them about an early check in and never received a response. On top of that I was to pay separately for a damage deposit, but the link they sent did not work and I was not told until I finally called the company that I would have to pay an additional fee to have someone come out to the apartment and collect the cash from me personally. I still don't understand why they could not just put the damage deposit on the same card that was used to pay for the room. Do note that the concierges that collected and returned my damage deposit were very friendly and helpful (different that the host company I spoke to on the phone).

We really loved our stay in this apartment! It is located right in the middle of the old Town and the balcony is directed towards the Palais d'Isle (one of Annecys main attractions and post card motifs). The apartment is well equipped, clean and nicely decorated. The temperature is quite acceptable even on really hot summer days! We definetely recommend staying here if you want to visit Annecy and it's beautiful surrounding.

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour en plein centre de Annecy (vieille-ville). Le logement se situe en face du palais de l'île, au deuxieme etage (sans ascenseur) d'un batiment au dessus de restaurants. L'appartement est bien rénové et confortable : pas de nuisances sonores les fenêtres fermées, température intérieure agréables (important en pleine canicule) et bons équipements.
