While the location and Concierge were positive. Never rent from any property managed by HOSTENGA!!
Positive: The Concierge for the Apartment was extremely helpful, caring and easy to work with. She has excellent communication and customer service skills. We really appreciated all of her efforts to overcome the bad service from the Rental agency, HOSTENGA. Negative: The Apartment Management Company, HOSTENGA, failed to acknowledge our on-schedule payments received even though payment website screenshots and copies of bank credit card receipts were provided to HOSTENGA and Booking.com. The failure to acknowledge the received payments resulted in major stress and in not having confirmed lodging until we were actually two hours from arriving in Chamonix. HOSTENGA never responded to any emails or voicemails sent by myself nor Booking.com regarding the provided proof of payment to to confirm the lodging. It was only through the good graces of the Concierge - whom accepted the multiple sources of proof of payment - that we were able to stay in the Apartment for which we paid. Additionally, HOSTENGA requested an additional large Security Deposit (400 Euro). This amount was not specified until the day before arrival.

Nice place, very poorly managed
Positive: Nice apartment with a nice view from the room. The person that was the contact tried to be helpful. Negative: There was no internet access throughout my stay and, hence, no TV other than French channels. There is a cleaning fee of £150 for 3 days and they ask you to take out the rubbish, wash dishes and undo the bed upon departure… The payment process is not straightforward, they send you a link to a French website, not responsive when asking about the payment and they ask you for a prepayment for a deposit of £400.

Positive: Die Kommunikation mit der zuständigen Betreuung war sehr freundlich und unkompliziert. Die Wohnung war in perfekter Lage überall hin. Wenige Gehminuten zum Bahnhof, Seilbahn Aiguille de Midi, zur Tram Montnevers und ins Zentrum. Sehr ruhig mit angenehmer Nachbarschaft. Toller Ausblick aus den Fenstern in Schlafzimmer und Küche. Negative: Es gibt nichts zu meckern. :-)

Positive: Posizione ottima, 5 minuti a piedi dalla funivia per Aiuguille du Midi. In pieno centro, abbiamo lasciato la macchina la e abbiamo visitato Chamonix a piedi. Appartamento molto spazioso, pieno di luce e con il tutto necessario per vivere dentro. divano letto molto comodo. Negative: Eravamo dubbiosi sul pagamento che non è stato fatto con Booking, ma direttamente con il gestore (sede americana) che ci ha fatto pagare la somma dell'appartamento e la cauzione con dei link mandati da lui. infine li abbiamo chiamati e abbiamo effettuato i pagamenti. Non c'erano problemi, ci hanno restituito la cauzione.

THIEVES. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
Positive: No comment Negative: HOSTS ROBBED ME OF $431. Instead of paying for the booking normally through booking.com or on-site as I’ve always done with this platform, the host forced me to pay for the booking and an unexpected security deposit on a shady external website in British pounds. The security deposit came out to even more than the booking itself - $431.17 to be exact, in my own credit cards currency which it was converted to from pounds. I was told the security deposit would be returned after 5 business days of departure. THEY NEVER RETURNED MY SECURITY DEPOSIT. I have contacted them NUMEROUS times and no one has responded to me. Unbelievable scammers, DO NOT STAY HERE.

A quiet location just some minutes walking from the main streets. Easy to park the car. Freshly decorated in a rustic style. Fully equipped kitchen. Sofa bed probably suitable for younger children as a thin mattress - it was not thick enough for our 16 year old. Bed in bedroom was very comfortable.

During the stay there was an issue with the breaker, so at first the heaters didn't work, then the lights. The host was responsive and offered to send someone out to fix it while we were out. The place was cute, but you're really on your own supplies wise if you stay more than 2 days. Not much is provided, and then you're on your own to purchase what you need to get you through the rest of the stay. They provided 1 roll of toilet paper, no paper towels, no laundry detergent, and only enough to run 1 dishwasher cycle.
